Jesse Ferguson is a folk musician originally from Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. He strives to connect with the past through traditional songs while making them relevant to today’s listeners. He sings and plays several musical instruments including: guitar, mandolin, fiddle, harmonica, and bodhran. He has performed solo and with other musicians in festivals, highland games and pubs in Ontario, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.
He also posts videos of traditional and contemporary music on youtube (youtube.com/BardofCornwall) as 'The Bard of
Cornwall'. His first album, New Old Songs, was released in 2009, and his second album, The Parting Glass, debuted in November 2011. With years of experience, Jesse has learned how to tailor a performance to the venue and to the crowd. He's played pub sets entirely of classic rock; he's played Celtic festival sets entirely of traditional folk; and he's always up for throwing his original songs in the mix to keep things fresh. He's a lively performer whose vast repertoire of songs allows him to please any crowd, and, yes, he takes requests!
