Carla McLean

Carla McLeanA singer songwriter from Glasgow, Carla has been writing songs and playing guitar since the age of 12. She is known for creating interesting arrangements on classic Burns Songs, folk songs from the British Isles and classic folk rock. Carla also writes and performs her own material, live, including French songs inspired by her other passion as a teacher of modern languages. Carla has performed at restaurants, accoustic festivals, weddings, folk nights, christenings and charity events. She is available to sing at weddings, burns suppers and as a performer at your venue or special event.

Carla's emotional performances touch people and captivate audiences with her passion for traditional Scottish love songs Carla has the ability to move and unite people. In addition Carla can pen and record original songs dedicated for wedding couples, birthdays and for babies christenings which people can share forever. Her passion for folk music is coupled with her love for the works on Burns and for contemporary Scottish artists such as Harvey Andrews.

Carla is currently set to play a number of Burns suppers and other events. She is recording more music with the help of her sound producer Andy Flett of the band SafetyNett who features on her remake of the Harvey Andrews tune Anna My Love playing the melodica other artists featured on Carla’s recordings are Kevin McLaughlin on the Ukelele, Jamie Flett on Harmonica and Joe Summers on the double bass. Singing accompanied by her guitar Carla's raw and moving sound will make your event special and tailored.
